Wayne Gretzky's son commits to San Diego State
Oct 12, 2010 - 11:57 PM SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Trevor Gretzky, son of hockey great Wayne Gretzky, has committed to play baseball at San Diego State.He is a first baseman who hit .341 with two home runs and 33 RBIs last spring at Westlake Village Oaks Christian High.
The early signing period is Nov. 10-17.
San Diego State's coach is Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Gwynn revealed last week that he has cancer in a salivary gland.
Gwynn plans to continue coaching at his alma mater after undergoing radiation and chemotherapy.
